Connect a connection to a GIS server - ArcGIS Pro (2023)

By connecting to a GIS server access to resources and functions that are provided as online services.ARCGIS -ServerPresentArcgis onlineExperimental services and open geospatial consortium, Inc. (OGC) server.

If you establish a connection to oneARCGIS -ServerWith options you can use services, publish services or manage the server. If the server is oneArcgis EnterpriseFederated Server,ArcGIS ProOnly supports connections with which you can use services. If the server is an independent caseARCGIS -ServerYou can possibly publish and use services on the website: The connection with most authorizations for your login information is created.

Note:

Possibly you have toUpdateYour server connection when the content of the server is changed outside of your currentArcGIS ProSession.repairThe connection when it becomes invalid.

Server registration information

If a server does not allow anonymous access, you must provide a registration (user name and password) when creating a connection.Arcgis EnterprisePortal, use the registration of your portal account. If the server is an independent server, use a registration provided by the server administrator.

A login can be savedWindowRegistration information Manager (standard) or in your server connection file (or both).WindowThe registration information manager is recommended for two reasons. First of all, it is a safer place for login information than a file stored on the file system.ArcGIS ProProcess that requires the registration accessWindowQualification Manager; You will usually not be asked again for login information while using the server connection on this computer.

PythonHowever, scripts cannot accessWindowQualification manager.

Note:

Some resources stored on the server, e.g.B. map files (.Mapx), you can ask for a login information if you add it to a project. If your login is savedWindowRegistration management manager, this only happens once; then the resource recognizes the login information. If your login is stored in a connection file, you will be requested for every resource according to login information.
